Publicity Manager (Poland)

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Reports to: Country Lead (Poland)

Full-time | Cinobo

We are looking for a Publicity Manager to build and scale Cinobo in Poland. In this role you will be the architectural voice of Cinobo’s expansion into a new market. This is a high-impact, hybrid role designed for a creative storyteller who can balance high-level media relations with hands-on content creation. In this role you won’t just be managing a brand; you will be cultivating a local film culture.

Why Cinobo?

Cinobo is the curated streaming destination where curation meets entertainment. We handpick independent and world-class cinema - stories that matter - making great cinema accessible and entertaining for everyone on a subscription streaming platform. In a streaming landscape dominated by algorithms and volume, Cinobo has taken a different path – and made it work. We’re a startup that has become a love brand, achieved product–market fit, and built strong growth by breaking the notion that indie cinema is only for a few people. Founded in Greece six years ago, Cinobo has grown and built a strong community of hundreds of thousands of cinephiles who interact both on the platform and in physical spaces. Today, Cinobo stands as a European case study in community-driven streaming. We are preparing to scale internationally and bring our culture-first approach to new markets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative "hooks" and thematic concepts around our curated film collections to make them culturally relevant and "newsworthy" in the Polish market.
- Build and maintain a robust network of journalists, film critics, podcasters, and cultural influencers, serving as the primary point of contact for local press.
- Shape and manage Cinobo’s public image across modern and traditional media channels (online media, press, radio, podcasts, vlogs, social media channels, etc.).
- Lead the outreach to high-profile directors and industry talent, managing relationships that elevate the platform’s appeal in the local scene.
- Own the full editorial lifecycle for Poland, including long-form newsletters, media kits, press releases, and sharp, persuasive advertising copy.
- Co-create and implement the local communications strategy, ensuring the global brand vision translates authentically into the Polish cultural landscape.
- Organize press meetings, media events, and promotional screenings for Cinobo in Poland.
- Create high-quality written content, including press releases, newsletters, media pitches, and other PR materials.
- Develop and shape compelling narratives and creative concepts around films, curated collections, and thematic programming on the platform.
- Collaborate closely with global marketing, programming, and social media teams to ensure a unified voice across all platforms.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular insights and reports on the brand's local impact.
Specific Qualifications:
- Background in publicity or communications roles, ideally within entertainment, media, lifestyle, or high-growth consumer brands.
- Proven experience in PR, communications, or journalism (ideally within film, arts, or entertainment). We are looking for an emerging talent who is agile and "new-school" in their approach.
- Mastery of the Polish language with the ability to switch tones - from formal to witty and "punchy."
- Professional-level fluency in English is required.
- An existing network of media contacts and influencers within the Polish cultural and digital landscape.
- Data-aware and capable of quantifying "buzz" by translating media mentions, sentiment analysis, and share-of-voice into strategic reports and budget justifications.
- A genuine passion for independent and arthouse cinema, with the ability to discuss films and industry trends with confidence.
- A proactive "self-starter" mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a scaling startup environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to reach out to high-profile figures and talent to craft pitches that move the brand forward.
- Excellent organizational skills and a creative approach to strategic communication.
